GPT is the world’s leading manufacturer of flange isolation sealing kits, insulation gaskets, monolithic isolation joints, and pipe penetration seals for oil and gas pipelines.

As an authoritative resource to an international, multilingual, and diverse audience, the GPT website had become difficult to update. Not only was the team dealing with content for multiple personas, but each page also had 5 versions in different languages. As a result, new content production was often delayed. 


And with even more new product lines to launch, GPT needed a unique way to showcase their offerings, organize content, and make the whole process simpler for their internal team.

The Solution

Neon Rain’s first step was migrating GPT’s site from Drupal to Wordpress, allowing the team to manage content more easily. This involved a complex redirect schema that updated links and maintained link structure, so GPT wouldn’t lose their rankings. 


Next, Neon Rain designed a way to silo GPT’s different personas and allows users to browse based by role — engineer, distributor, buyer, or installer — and find everything they’re looking for on one page, including relevant products, cases studies, white papers, downloads, tools, and upcoming events. Plus, users can automatically update the language on each page thanks to the built-in Google Translate option.

Neon Rain also developed a unique way to showcase all the features of each GPT product, with all the files tied together in the backend. Now, the team can assign content to multiple products simultaneously rather than waste time loading individual files. 


Finally, Neon Rain implemented key features to enhance GPT’s sales process: 

  • Browser query for IP addresses to hide products based on country 

  • Filter for customers to search sales contacts by region

  • Integration with Salesforce to send contact forms to the proper distribution list


The result is a more user-friendly site, both on the frontend and the backend. The different GPT audiences can easily navigate relevant content, and the GPT team is better equipped to meet the demand for new content that serves their users’ specific needs.
